FAQs

What is a web conference and how is it different than previous audioconferences?
A web conference includes additional features that will help enhance the learning experience. When you log onto the web portion of the call, you will see the slides and handouts as they are being controlled by the presenter. The presenter will be able to use web tools to point out specific points, and participants will be able to send instant messages with questions or comments to the presenter. This will all result in a more interactive learning experience.

Do I have to utilize the web portion of the call?
No. If you prefer, you can print the handouts and follow along with just the audio feature of the call. You would dial into the call as instructed in the email from CLMA.

When will I receive the handouts and dial-in/log-in instructions?
You will receive an email a few days prior to the scheduled web conference with complete instructions.

It’s less than a week prior to the web conference and I have still not received an email with instructions and materials. What do I do?
Please make sure that CLMA is on your email “white” list so you can receive our emails. Also, please check your spam email folder to see if it ended up there. If you have an aggressive firewall or spam blocker, this can restrict delivery of materials. If you need assistance, please 610-995-2640 x252 or email education@clma.org .

What are the system requirements for joining the web portion
of the call?

Microsoft Windows Minimum System Requirements
Please view the System Requirements to determine capability.

Mac OS Minimum System Requirements
Apple QuickTime®7 or higher to view Windows Media content in the meeting on Macintosh. Mac OS X V10.3 or higher / Apple® Java™ 1.4.2

I still have a question. Who can I contact?
Please contact Angela Agostini at aagostini@clma.org or
610-995-2640 x252 for assistance.
